We would like to take the time to thank everyone for your incredible kindness and love you have shown to all of us and Taylor’s Dad. We feel so blessed that everyone took the time to send a warm message to us and/or prayers, which reminds us again why our Taylor was so amazing People have been reaching out to us regarding Taylor’s rescue dogs, Stella and Roo. We want everyone to know that Taylor’s dad will be taking them in and loving them just as he loved Taylor, with all... of his heart and compassion. We would also like to thank the @chihuahuarescueofsandiego for providing such beautiful gifts for Stella and Roo. We are sure her fur babies are missing her love, affection, and attention so much right now, so this gesture is incredibly thoughtful. Thank you again to everyone for touching our hearts everyday. If you would like to donate to Taylor’s Celebration of Life Brunch please click the link in our Instagram bio (https://gofund.me/63a8ce4e). Please also consider donating to her two favorite charities, The San Diego Humane Society and the Alzheimer's Association.

Today would have been her big Dirty 30 The loss of Taylor Kahle is still so raw for many of us but today we will celebrate the light she shared with the world for nearly 30 years. To our extended team (aka event family) of vendors, partners, venues and colleagues, we are forever grateful for the kinds words and stories of remembrance you have shared with us over the past week. We know this tragedy is felt deeply by so many of you. Details of Taylor’s Sunday Funday Celebration of Life will be released this week by invite to ensure the celebration is kept a private affair for those that knew Taylor. If you don’t receive the details, and would like to attend please email [email protected].

In response to the devastating news about the passing of our beloved Taylor Kahle, we have received endless comments and stories from people who she impacted in her light and joy. Many of you have asked how you can help support her loved ones. Below are some thoughtful words from her dad and links to charities if you like you can donate to in Taylor’s honor. "HER LIFE WAS AT A HIGH POINT. It was all good, and she was VERY HAPPY. So when I keep thinking about how much I miss ...her, as hard as it is, I like to think she left this world on a high note. Without any of us truly being able to control our destiny, or fate, I don't have to look back and say I would have lived my life with her any differently. TAYLOR AND I WERE AWESOME TOGETHER! And that is the memory I will carry with me the rest of my life." (From Taylor’s Dad) Here is a link to donate to Taylors celebration of life brunch!! One of her favorites things to do with her friends on the weekends and to donate to her two charities! The SD Humane Society in honor of her pups and the SD Alzheimer's society in honor of her mom that passed away from Alzheimer’s!! http://gf.me/u/zrsufa

Work from Home (WFH) might have hit the spotlight at the beginning of quarantine but it’s obvious that this superstar of the pandemic will be making headlines well past 2020. As someone who has been headlining the WFH circuit since 2013, I like to think I have spent the last 7 years training for quarantine. And, while it definitely has its cons (isolating, blurred boundaries..), there are several tricks I have found that help keep me focused & efficient and that make the per...ks of WFH (no commute, flexibility to work from anywhere..) completely worth it. Click the link in bio for the must-do tips and tricks to keep you focused and efficient in your work but still balanced in your personal life. --Jenna #workfromhome #wfh #homeoffice #remoteworker #workingremotely #workingfromhome

Last night, the live events industry stepped into the spotlight to draw awareness to the live events industry that has been disproportionately impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. Across the Country, more than 2000 venues, buildings, architectural structures, arenas, businesses and homes glowed red to sound the alarm. In San Diego, iconic venues like Petco Park, the Del Mar Fairgrounds, Balboa Park and so many more were lit up red. While the challenges of 2020 have been enor...mous, getting to collaborate with event planners, venues and vendors locally and beyond to fight for aid and awareness has been a welcome silver lining. We plan to stay loud and united and to fight for every event worker and business out of work and without governmental support. Thank you to @WeMakeEventsNorthAmerica, @SDEventCoalition and @ProsystemsAV for your commitment to #RedAlertRESTART #WeMakeEvents #ExtendPUA

In under a week, a collection of San Diego’s top planner, venues and vendors pulled off something only a team of professional event businesses could. From starting the San Diego Event Coalition in June to a 24 page plan to safely reopen events in the future in review by public officials to an Empty Event Rally and Empty Truck Caravan in August, we are proud to be a part of a group fighting. Fighting for awareness, fighting for aid, fighting to Save Live Events. Without imme...diate government aid for the event industry, small businesses will close and skilled event workers will find other careers. When events are permitted again, the industry will not be in place to support events at the same scale it once did. The current loss of events in our communities, with no foreseeable change until well until 2021 and no enhanced support for our businesses and workers, will lead to dramatic impacts on our economy, serious threats to our local non-profits and their year-round programs that rely on event fundraising and the suffering of our cultural diversity. San Diego Event Workers unite this Thursday, August 13 at the socially-distanced #EmptyEventSD Rally. The live events industry and its workforce of 12 million people are being devastated by the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Join us at 2PM at the County Admin. Center as we fight for industry support and assistance so that when mass gatherings are possible again, there is an industry of event professionals still around to create your favorite experiences. Bring your mask, your sign and your voice! #SaveLiveEvents #WishIWasThere #LiveEventsCo

Gaslamp Curbside is going down again! Every week, Wednesday to Sunday, we are helping the Gaslamp Quarter close 5th Avenue to create a safe and ambient outdoor dining district on the streets of Downtown San Diego. Seeing these amazing extended patios each week leaves us thinking....why haven't we been doing this all the time?! Do you know which Gaslamp restaurant you will be dining al fresco at this week?

As we begin to understand the more long term nature of this current....ummm...situation, we are helping more and more clients transition their events to online formats in creative and uniquely expressive ways. We know it can be unnerving to talk about fundraising over Zoom and creating community over YouTube but we have found a variety of tools that help create dynamic virtual experiences. If you are looking for some information on getting down with the digital get down, visi...t The EventTea Blog {https://bit.ly/2OcgFA8} for 3 recent posts specifically on this new techy twist on events. Don't worry, as soon as we can we will be back to throwing the outdoor festivals and community street fairs you love, but in the meantime we are excited to provide everyone safe and interactive entertainment from our house to yours . {Photo of Laurel McFarlane directing Pride Live}

We know it’s been a few months since you've been at an event but let's take a moment to think about all of the amazing memories you've made at your local community street faire or festival. Was it the La Jolla Art & Wine Festival, the Gaslamp Quarter Pet Parade or the La Mesa Oktoberfest? Maybe Chula Vista HarborFest or Fiesta Old Town Cinco de Mayo? We love all of those events for the vibrant celebrations they bring to their unique communities and we hope you'll take a moment to vote for one (or some...or all) of them for Best Neighborhood Event in the San Diego Reader's Best Of San Diego nomination process. Click >>> https://bit.ly/SDRBestEvent and show these events some love!

This is a very special time of year for us at MP. Normally we would be on Day 3 of load-in for the San Diego Pride Festival putting the final touches on signage, getting ready for Exhibitor load-in, making sure all the rainbow colored beach balls get inflated, loading in the backstage trailers, ice and bar supplies While we dream daily of the days when we can be back on-site building out temporary Villages of love and unity, this year we will celebrate digitally with P...ride Live. Make sure to tune in tomorrow starting at 10AM for a full day Pride party (SDPride.org/Live for details). Trust us you will be feeling all the feels! In preparing for this we have laughed, cried, reflected on amazing memories and made big plans for the future. We are proud to have been a part of the SD Pride Festival since 2012 and are amazed on a daily basis by the team of staff and volunteers at San Diego Pride. Tomorrow is going to be something incredible!

If you've seen us at an event, then you'll know you can often find us behind the beer soaked bar resetting wifi routers or floating through tables clearing leftover trash. (Secret: on hot days you might also find us hiding out in the ice truck for a little cool down...but that's besides the point). We are no stranger to taking on each and every job needed to make sure the event runs smoothly.
