McClellan Ranch Preserve

The two bright objects to the right of the crescent moon tonight are the planets Saturn and Jupiter. Saturn and Jupiter will continue getting visually closer together in our sky for the next month. On Dec. 21st, they they will be only 0.1 degrees apart! This will be the first Jupiter-Saturn conjunction since the year 2000, and the closest Jupiter-Saturn conjunction since the year 1623!
