Due to the continuing impacts of #COVID19, Marine Corps Air Station Miramar must formally announce the cancellation of the 2021 Miramar Air Show. It is a disappointment to us as well as many across the world, but the safety of our Marines and fellow San Diegans must come first. We had hoped that conditions would allow for us to safely celebrate the world of aviation together, but the time just isn’t right to have a mass gathering like the #1AirShow. We’re going to look ahead at 2022 and put together one of the best in the world.

Today celebrates the life and legacy of a man who brought hope and healing to America. Here at MCAS Miramar, we commemorate the timeless values he taught through his example - courage, truth, justice, compassion, dignity, and service. The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at a time of challenge and controversy. The true neighbor will risk his position and even his life for the welfare of others." -Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. (U.S. Marine Corps Illustration by Lance Cpl. Emily Hunt)

Heads up Marines!

MCAS Miramar 16.08.2020

Hey, hey, it’s Labor Day Although here at Miramar we continue to develop and maintain positive relationships with our local organizations, schools, community leaders, media and elected officials, one of the most privileged honors the Marine Corps has is to pay back the community with a return of value-driven citizens. We produce citizens with our core valuesthe highest ideals in the American characterand place them in an environment where they are held accountable for thos...e values. These values serve as a moral compass as they return to school or join the workforce, and these values will make them leaders in our nation’s universities, workplaces, and communities. Check out a story below of a former Marine doing just that: https://www.dvidshub.net//movie-making-marine-shares-story
