This is what we've been up to lately: Mayhem Metal Works is moving into a shop! We've been helping Andrew prep the shop before the big move. Emma has enjoyed painting, picking up wire clippings, and riding her bike around the shop.

Mayhem Metal Works is hiring! I am primarily looking for a shop helper but I could also be interested in an experienced welder/fabricator/mechanic if you are the right fit. I am a fabrication shop specializing in custom cars, primarily off road/rock crawlers/jeeps but I do a large variety of different stuff. I do everything from small welding/fabrication projects to fully scratch built custom car builds, tube work, custom suspension, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical. I h...ave been a one man show but I am moving into a much larger shop and it is time to get some help. I am looking for someone who is motivated, enthusiastic, and eager to learn. You should have some basic skills in the work we do but I am willing to train you, this is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in learning these types of skills. To start out you will at a minimum need to know how to work a grinder, take things apart, and clean up parts and the shop. About you -Interested in this type of work and learning new skills -motivated to work and able to stay busy -be equipped with good common sense -have decent reading and math skills -be very detail oriented -be able to follow instruction -be able to follow safety rules -be able to lift 100+ lbs -be able to show up when you are supposed to -be able to go the two hours between breaks without being on your phone -don't do drugs, smoke cigarettes, or be an alcoholic (don't waste my time if you do because you will be tested) Some of the above might make me sound like a little bit of a dick but if you have a good head on your shoulders and can show up, work hard, and not screw things up I will probably be the coolest boss you will ever have. Schedule can be a little bit flexible, could be a part time or full time job. Job would start in early sept. Probably around the 7th. Pay depends on experience and skill level.
