Happy New Year!! We hope you’re all doing well. This little ‘64 Nova has come a long way and it’s still going. (2) 1/4 panels, survivor door swap and, believe it or not, we cut off the old rusted roof and installed another one! NOW, the race car building can begin!! 1st up? Our custom tube bolt on front end. FOR SALE: ... The Smith Racecraft front end: SOLD Still available Like the new 17 Weld Magnum wheels/tires too? Those are available separately for $1400 New Unlimited Products fiberglass bumper is available, too.
Rust repair? All day long. We don’t really like doing this kind of straightening/structure kind of work. But every now again, it happens. It definitely helps that the customer is also a local friend, too. We did a full inside/outside 1/4 panel replacement and a new rocker panel, as needed.
Have you ever wondered if a big-inch Noonan billet engine and a pair of Precision pro-mod 94’s will fit under the hood of a ‘69 Super Bee? James needed to know so we got after it. Matt got both headers done and both turbos mounted. The cold side was a little delayed in going together as we were waiting for a throttlebody but, as you can see, parts arrived! Hot side/cold side complete!
Who was interested in seeing progress on this one? Chris B’s little ‘63 Chevy II streeter came to life, today. It’s been a while in coming and it is worth the wait. Custom firewall mods to accommodate the turbos, intercooler built, everything pulled back apart for painting, reassembled and the wiring is finally finished up. We knew it was going to a nasty little twin turbo beast but I don’t think we realized it was going to sound as mean as it does. There are still some finishing touches and other things that we need to get done, but today was definitely a mile stone. Video in comments below.
Here’s something a little different. The fenders were both cut on the Valiant. A haggard replacement pair were the best out there for sale. English wheel, bead roller and a welder fixed the original fenders a lot faster and a lot cheaper.
Who wants to see more work progress posts with the little write-ups again? We aren’t currently (or even soon-to-be) scheduling any work. However, work is still going on and progress is still being had. How many of you like seeing the work and progress on the different projects in the shop? We like to share what’s going on but the way that it generates work inquiries, we feel it’s better not posting than telling everybody no.
