Rolled/rounded shoulders is a common issue I see in my clients. While standing in a straight, relaxed position, do the backs of your hands face forward like the image on the left? Or do your thumbs point forward like that on the right? On the right is a picture of a child standing relaxed with perfect posture. (Children are great examples because they have not yet been affected by years of gravity and countless hours at the computer!) Massage therapy, paired with specific muscle stetching and strength exercises can help keep those shoulders rolled back and healthy. #health #healthtips #backpain #posture #wellness #massagetherapy #officelife #muscleandhealth #strength #orangecounty

I recently had the privilege of helping these two celebrate their anniversary with a couples massage, alongside the amazing @cdmassages. If you have something special to celebrate, or just need to set some time out for yourselves, you don't even have to leave your home. We come to you!

This could be for you... but this time it's for me! Gotta take care of myself in order to take care of others. Remember I come to you, so let me know if you'd like to schedule one for yourself. #fromwhereyoudratherbe #wellnesswednesday

Overstretched and/or weakened muscles can cause pain, and even though massaging the site of pain is often what feels best, it's not going to fix the problem. Usually an overstretched muscle means tightness elsewhere. That tightness creates a domino effect, affecting the entire body. A good starting point to assist in alleviating this little ailment is simply be mindful of your posture-- being aware of how you sit, stand, walk, lift, and carry things. And book a few sessions with me to retrain those muscles, of course! #posture #wellnesstip #health #healthyliving #loveyourself #fitness
