Sick of having to replace ring and pinion as well as bearings every race. Here is a comparison between the 10(actually about 9.5) and our 10.5. Several teams have seen 2000 and even 2500 miles on gears and bearings.

This is after one 300 mile race with a standard Ford 10. Exactly why we decided to build our own custom thirdmember. We keep putting more power in these trucks and more gear reduction in the 5 and 6 speed transmissions than the TH400, multiplying the torque that the ring and pinion will see. The #masonmotorsports #10.5 has been the thirdmember of choice for winners, being used in the overall winners trucks at the Parker 425, Silverstate 300, KOH and San Felipe 250 in 2021. All of our #awdtt that are currently running have made the swap as well as several teams that run other manufacturers trucks.

Now that we know our 10.5 gear is plenty strong in our current 4340 case. We have decided to try something new with the @menzies.motorsports team. With this billet 2024 housing and main caps we have cut over 20lbs out of the unit. @brycemenzies7 and @cantinaracing__official will both be running our 10.5 in our steel housing at this years #baja1000. Look forward to testing the 2024 housing after the race. Notice our integrated 4130 shield to protect it from our #awdtt roost. #masonmotorsports

@drew_becerra is modifying another Tubeworks housing to accept a #masonmotorsports 10.5 thirdmember. With the purchase of one of our thirdmembers, we will modify your Tubeworks or ID Designs housing to fit it at no charge.

@kcmotorsports finished up the paneling for the @chase_motorsports #masonmotorsports #6100. These will go to @walkerindustries to have molds made and carbon fiber parts from them.

Who did it best?

Over 500 miles of Beatty my on the #masonmotorsports 10.5 thirdmember with over 1000 hp and everything checks out great. Avg temp of 185 degrees with a high of 205. No wear on the load bolts. Less than .001 change in backlash. All bearings look great. No cracks found in the ring and pinion.
