A shortage of inventory combined with strong demand is still the name of the game in Silicon Valley. "Inventory of single-family, re-sale homes was down 23.5% compared to last year. That is the twentieth month in a row inventory has been lower than the year before. As of May 5th, there were 645 homes for sale in Santa Clara County. The real estate market didn't take a break in December! Prices for single family homes were up about 13% in Santa Clara County over a year ago. The condo market was also up from last year, but 6-8% increases rather than double digits.
