Students in 6th grade science visited Rocky Nook Park to learn about how scientists do surveys of plants and landscapes in order to record evidence of climate change. Using the Seek app by INaturalist students identified and measured plants along a transect. They also learned the benefits of random sampling, and surveys. Back in the classroom students will discuss how surveys of plants and mapping their changes gives us data on climatic shifts. #inaturalist #seek #childrenandnature #naaee #eowilsonfoundation #citizenscience

Today students in Math 7 created dye baths using linear equations. Using RIT dye’s formulas students worked with two and three variable ratios to create dye baths for clothing.
