Martinez Business Owners, apply for the City of Martinez Micro-Grant Program by Feb. 22nd. Today, the City of Martinez is launching a COVID-19 Small Business Micro-Grant Program for eligible retail, restaurant, and personal service storefront businesses as part of our continuing efforts to support our small businesses. Businesses must have 25 or fewer employees to be eligible, with the exception of independently owned restaurants, which have no employee limit to be eligible ...for this program. Approved by the Martinez City Council, the Micro-Grant program will provide reimbursement grants of potentially up to $5,000 per business for eligible COVID-19 related expenses, including certain expenses already incurred retroactively to the beginning of the pandemic. If awarded, the grant is not required to be paid back by the business, nor does it require a matching contribution. This program is designed to help storefront businesses continue providing food, retail goods, and personal services for our residents during this challenging time and in doing so, maintain the economic vitality of our community. The Micro-Grant application deadline is Monday, February 22, 2021. Here is the link to the guidelines, eligibility requirements, and Micro-Grant application form: https://bit.ly/3tN4du7
