Promotion Testing is ON - outside today at Woodward Park! To keep our groups smaller & give maximum social distancing & safety, we are braking this into 3 groups. Please bring chairs, etc, to sit in, sweatshirts & shoes are ok...... And for everyone coming we ask you to wear your mask & keep your seating more than 6’ apart from those you did not come with - for this brief time - so we can give our full focus on watching & celebrating each students’ progress! Please be prompt & we will see you soon!

A Black Belt is a white belt who never quit One thing that is great about the Black Belts at MAF is that they continually set new goals for themselves. The benefits of earning their ranks from White thru Black Belt become an internalized skill that lasts with you a lifetime. ... Even cooler - they are all committed to set a new goal and increase their rank yet again this coming May! Olivia would go on to win 2 Jr US Open Titles in fighting with Master Tim and make the USA Jr National Team. She’s now going to nursing school in Fresno & has started training again on Monday nights with our Masters Class @715p! ... There may be no higher honor than the respect of ones peers. Last year I got the opportunity to help an entire crew of former athletes on the @usa_masters_team get ready for the European Masters Games. It was amazing to see so many of them re-ignite the passion in their training, and reconnect with this powerful side of themselves once again. ... From their hard work, not only have they gotten back in the shape they deserve to be in, but they have also inspired so many more to do the same. Bring at your best isn’t merely for you. Being at your best is an underrated form of leadership. It’s simple. It’s direct. And everyone around you can feel it when you’re dialed in. And what I think is the best part is the momentum they have created. I’m helping many set the foundation already for 2021 Tokyo World Masters Games for one more run. What would it mean to you to have one more run? We are grateful for having a safe promotion testing with all levels & ranks promoting! But... It also stood out to us how important this is for kids and their overall personal development... Kids haven’t had opportunities, regular opportunities, to test themselves in different environments for most of this year. ... This muscle needs to get developed through regular and slightly increasingly difficult situations. And many are getting next to none of it. Sure if you’re older that’s not a big % of your life - but if you’re young, that may be like what - 10% if your life? There is no experience savings bank to pull from. We all need opportunities to test ourselves - that doesn’t mean it needs to be the finals of Worlds, or only with our lives on the line... But it is a muscle that needs to be developed in kids and used in new ways for adults. Need to help your kids progress mentally and physically during these formative years?
