Today, the City of Martinez launched a COVID-19 Small Business Relief Micro-Grant Program for eligible storefront small businesses with 25 employees or less (wi...th the exception of independently owned restaurants, which have no employee limit to be eligible for this program), as part of our continuing efforts to support our small businesses. The program, approved through the Martinez City Council, will provide reimbursement grants of potentially up to $5,000 per business for eligible COVID-19 related expenses, including certain expenses already incurred retroactive to the beginning of the pandemic. Due to the pending shelter-in-place order for Contra Costa County and the Bay Area Region which prohibits gatherings of any size, the City has decided to take p...recautionary safety measures and cancel the Community Walk Through which had been scheduled for Saturday, December 5th from 10am-Noon. Staff will record photo and video footage of the proposed site plan to create a virtual walk through for further community input. More information will be posted on the City website once available.
