Went out for SCUBA diving, ended up hanging out with the dogs following a mask issue on the first dive. Still totally worth it! If you’re in the SD area looking... for a dive charter, give Marissa a shot! Their efforts to operate within local health guidelines, along with the personalized bag of snacks to munch on between dives, goes a long ways. All that’s in addition to just the right way to do diving (my opinion)...you can bring a dive master with you, or take a site brief from the dive master who remains on the boat at each location, and go explore underwater with your buddy. Hopefully I’ll get my mask situation rectified shortly and I’ll definitely be back out! And maybe partly to see Captain and Scout again!

Have you dived at Connor's Canyon? It is one of our favorite dive spots! Connor's Canyon is a large 45' pinnacle nestled in about 75' of water in the Point Loma kelp forests. The south end has a sheer cliff that begins at the seafloor running all the way to the top of the pinnacle. We often see a 5' giant black Seabass hanging around the top of the pinnacle. The pinnacle itself is a table-top of rocks and boulders teeming with schooling fish and surrounded by canyons that ch...annel out in numerous directions. With overhands, endless nooks and crannies, and abundant sea life this is a fantastic dive location. We'll be diving Connor's Canyon a few times in May, check out our website to book your dive! Please take a couple seconds before you toss that old mask to make it safe for our wildlife. Simply pulling the ear loops off of your disposable masks will prevent the wildlife from getting entangled. I love shore birds! I used to monitor the nesting of endangered California least tern and threatened Western snowy plover along our local shores. Right now all the birds need our help to keep them safe.
