Thanks to Miss Daniele and Momma Crystal for coming out and helping for a few hours with our horse and rider qualifier for Mariposa Posse. We had 16 challenge obstacles and all did well. Thanks to Mariposa Fairgrounds for allowing us to use the grounds for training. Some of our group will be riding at the july butterfly days parade along with our current rodeo royalty and we also will be at the festival together along with our royalty candidates for this years contest.

Last Saturday our rodeo royalty attended the Mariposa Safe Families Trunk or Treat. The theme of our trunk was Día de Muertos and we even played the Coco soundtrack while kids trick or treated. There were so many amazing costumes and it was nice to see the community coming together safely. There was such a big turnout we ran out of candy with two hours left. Luckily the community of Mariposa came together and donated candy for venders so kids could still trick or treat. A big thank you to Mariposa Safe Families for having us and all the parents who helped our girls with decorations and candy.

Jeanne and I want to say thanks to these awesome friends and families for helping us out providing giveaways and decorations for the Trunk or Treat at the Marioosa County Courthouse Saturday October 31. Come see us from 430-7pm! Get your treat bag and an autographed pic of your current Rodeo Royalty while they last! Thank you to our rodeo royalty families: Smith, Healey, Tuff, Turck! Yesterday our royalty had the honor of attending the Mariposa Mountain Riders playday. The day started with a costume contest and carried into mounted games. As we social distanced it was nice to bring the community together for a wholesome day of fun. A big thank you to Shawna Dahl for inviting our rodeo royalty to the event.

Friendly reminder that next Saturday the Mariposa Mountain Riders are holding a playday and raffle! Come out and join the Mariposa rodeo royalty for a fun day of games and social distancing.

Here are some pictures looking back at last years royalty crowning. Beyond saddened that tonight we won’t be welcoming rodeo fans into the stands and that we did not get the chance to enjoy a week full of fair activities with the community. However we are looking forward to an amazing 2021 rodeo season and seeing everyone this time next year at our fair and rodeo. Our royalty would like to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday weekend. Let's talk about what it truly takes to be punchy but pretty in an industry filled with stereotypes about rodeo queens. Our goal is to guide driven women and gi...ve them the tools to be powerful but poised and professional as an ambassador for the sport of rodeo. This clinic will encompass everything that falls within a pageant. Each girl will receive hands on learning from each clinician. Mock interviews, impromptu speeches, practice written tests, modeling, hair and makeup, photogenics and anything else the girls would like to cover. The second day of clinic will be dedicated to horsemanship. There will be 12 horses of different variety for the girls to practice draw horsemanship on. The goal is to teach with a hands on method and keep up with ever changing times in the Rodeo Queen world. If you have any questions what so ever please send an email to [email protected].
