Mariposa Certified Farmer's Market

Well it's almost 2021, It has been a very strange and interesting year. Here's hoping 2021 is better ,more productive, loving and unified. Happy New year to all.

So my understanding is that tomorrow Sunday, the 20th, Santa can be seen riding around Mariposa in a red mustang convertible. Sometime around 1:30 p.m. he will be waving and saying hello and perhaps stopping at a few places.

Just wanted to give up quick thank you again to the members of our farmers market, I was gifted with a wonderful gift certificate to Castillo's restaurant. I used some of it last night and took my friends Phil and Fran out for dinner last night, for those of you who attend our farmers market probably have seen Phil and Fran there many times as they've assisted me in times of need often so the gift was shared with them.

So as many of you know the farmers market is sponsored by Kiwanis. We put on a hayride every year Santa comes and we enjoy and songs and music and hot dogs and such. Well this year because of Coronavirus We will not be holding our annual hayride. We are planning to put it off maybe have a celebratory hayride around mid summer, nobody says we have to hold a hayride in the winter why can't we do one in the summer. Our goal with Kiwanis is to provide family-oriented safe fun. Gathering in large groups it's not something, I, believe at this time is beneficial to any of us. At this very moment our driver for the hayride has Corona virus, we all wish him well. I will be sharing more about the hayride as hopefully our world changes. Stay tuned I'll post info here.

This was the last night of this season's Farmers Market. It's also the last night of my managing it. It was a great night, however it was cold. I would like to say thank you to everybody who has made the market successful to all of our vendors and our patrons my heartfelt thank you thank you. Here are a few pictures.

The Mariposa certified farmers market last day of the season will be Wednesday, the 28th. Come on out grab something wonderful and thank the farmers.

Today and next Wednesday the 28th, will be the last days to pick up something wonderful and fresh from the Mariposa certified farmers market. The market will start here soon at 4:30, you will find us at the bottom of 6th Street and storming road.

These are the last three weeks of the Mariposa certified farmers market. so please come out and get those wonderful delicious fruits and veggies and nuts that your heart desires and three weeks they will be gone from our area. Oh yes and today's kids day bring your child under 18 years old get a $5 coupon and pick up from the certified side of the market pretty much anything but honey depending on the age of the child.

What can you get that's wonderful and delicious at the Mariposa certified farmers market, pretty much of anything from A to z. Come on out and see what part of the alphabet suits you best. We open at 4:30 for seniors and thoughts well maybe immune compromised 5:00 for the rest o close at 6:30. Today

Today's the day. At the Mariposa certified farmers market it's kids day come on down.The kids will get a $5 voucher to spend on the certified side of the market. And while the kids are shopping the parents get a chance to see what wonderful and healthy food choices we have. Please keep in mind we highly encourage masks and social distancing.

Yes today September 16 we will be having the Mariposa certified farmers market.

An update for the Mariposa certified farmers market, Kids day is being postponed until next week due to unhealthy air conditions. We are hoping next week will be better. September 23 at the Mariposa Farmers Market we will have kids day if our air quality as better.

Boy thank you everybody who braved the smoke to come out and shop tonight at the farmers market. How lucky we were to finally get to airplanes and aircraft going over to hopefully fight the creek fire.I saw the helicopter fly by a few times and heard a few planes and saw what look like a Vlat overhead so... yay.

It's a mariposa certified farmers market day. Come on out and see what our brave vendors are bringing up for you for this week's produce wonders. Come say hello to all of our vendors. Find something new that maybe have never had. Lamb and beef and lavender and lots of good fruits and vegetables and nuts.
