Here’s our 2020 Viognier! Over the years we have learned how to master Viognier. To be honest it wasn’t my favorite at first, but leaned that it likes some neutral oak and we have been doing a 50/50 neutral and stainless blend. The oak seems to integrate some of the oily mouthfeel characteristics and stainless keeps the freshness of the aromatics. And in the end it’s a wonderful combination *insert chefs kiss here*

Malbec did you know that Malbec is a French Bordeaux varietal, but lost popularity in France due to its loss in production from the phylloxera epidemic and also a wiping frost in the 1950’s. Cuttings from France were brought to Argentina in the 1850’s and the varietal now thrives in the higher altitude regions of Mendoza where it became world famous. This varietal is finally getting the recognition it deserves and hope you enjoy our California style #Malbec #wine #winegrapes #californiawine #centralcoast

Picking 1 ton of Malbec today at @marinsvineyard this personally is my 11th vintage to date! And 6th as a winemaker with my family’s vineyard. I don’t like to... flaunt it and still get embarrassed when people ask if that’s my name on the label, but strive for perfection of what makes it in the bottle. Marin had a working weekend at the winery. All wines in progress were sampled. Yummy. Malbec harvest under the lights in a few hours.

3 tons of Marin's Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon harvested this morning. Labor crew did a great job. Tom Shepherd, Head Harvest Tractor Specialist, handled the 4 bin trailer through the rows like a pro.
