Yesterday we conducted a Mini Officer Candidate School (MOCS) in order to better prepare their candidates for the challenges and rigors of Officer Candidate School. The mission of Officer Candidates School (OCS) is to educate and train officer candidates in Marine Corps knowledge and skills within a controlled and challenging environment in order to evaluate and screen individuals for the leadership, moral, mental, and physical qualities required for commissioning as a Marine Corps officer. One Mind, Any Weapon Marine Corps Martial Arts Program (MCMAP) offers offensive and defensive techniques that range from basic kicks, punches, throws and grappling techniques to training Marines in advanced fighting and defensive techniques for hand-to-hand combat situations. Marines can take different MCMAP courses to attain different belt levels, starting at tan and making their way up through grey, green, brown and black....
