Azalea Hill Trail project just received $700,000 in RTP funding, a crucial win that will help complete an MCBC 3 Gaps trail project! When completed, the project will close a gap for bicyclists traveling between Mount Tamalpais and Pine Mountain along the old Liberty Gulch Road shown in purple on the map. It will reduce sediment into Alpine Lake and restore sensitive habitat on Azalea Hill as well. Phase I and II got underway this summer, which included work on the lower third... of the trail and construction of bridge footings to connect Bullfrog road with the new multi-use trail. An 80-foot bridge, which was made possible by a $75,000 grant from the Emig Trust, will be lowered into place later this month. Work on the final phase can now move forward thanks to the RTP funds. Kudos to MMWD for applying for the funds and to California Senator Mike McGuire for supporting the RTP application. #3Gaps #experiencemcbc #slowandsayhello #nextgenstewards See more

We modified the #MCBCDirtFondo and #AdventureRevival events this summer to make them the most fun you can have on two wheels during a global pandemic and from the size of those smiles, it looks like a success! Congratulations to Tom and Zach for their winning entries, and thanks to all of you for playing along. Let's give a big high-five to Sufferfest Beer Company for donating prizes! We're already planning our events calendar for 2021, so stay tuned.
