Ocean is like a lake this morning So flat & beautiful out

Marina del Rey Whale Watching 23.11.2020

Nothing better than being on the water when the weather is perfect, the ocean is flat, and a fin whale cow/calf pair comes by to visit! Curious little calf came by the boat for a very close look, thrilling everyone with the sound of his blow. Mom also did a close swim by the boat, showing off her massive size. Magic. Thank you Capt. Nic Robbins

10/26/2020 - Monday morning's trip started out quickly with a Coastal Bottlenose sighting in the Main Channel. Common Dolphin pod in the deep waters of the Santa Monica canyon had a number of calves frolicking through the swells. Santa Ana winds picked up turning our options to the birds: Surf Scoter squadron in flight.

This adorable young common dolphin zipped around the Matt Walsh yesterday with his Mama while we watched with pure delight. Never ever gets old. Thank you Capt. Nic Robbins for a joyful dolphin encounter once again.
