I have some very big shoes to fill when it comes to Ronit. Well, for starters I have been running a community clinic for the past 8 years near identical to Community Acupuncture of Marin. I have been in communication with Ronit for many months now in order to ensure we have both a technical understanding of the business as well as a cultural understanding. After all, it's the people that bring everything to life- and that means you :) I did all the due diligence I could- which included getting to know Ronit on a very personal level. I was so thrilled to see we shared so much common ground including our personality styles, acupuncture style and even our world travel styles, which means I have full confidence that I'm a great fit for CAM. If you liked Ronit's style of acupuncture then you'll like mine as well. We are both students and avid aficionados of Dr. Richard Tan who we both consider to be the most amazing teacher and follow his practices near to the letter. Ronit and I have made inside jokes about the protocols we both used all these years. They were exactly the same! Do not worry. It's my intention to keep the majority of CAM just as it is. Rest assured, Ronit will be on call if I have any particular questions. In a way you can consider me a glorified manager who is charged with running things as they always have. The heart and soul of CAM and Ronit will always be here. I fully understand how difficult it is to try new things- and even more so to try new people, especially when you've had such a great person like Ronit for so many years. When Covid began in March, and the clinic had to be temporarily closed, I did some deep soul searching. I've had a growing desire to dedicate my focused attention and time working with coaching clients one-on-one and in groups, but felt torn by my love and dedication to all the patients of the clinic. I've been helping women access their truth from their hearts, their embodiment and their very souls and it is the kind of empowerment that really turns me on, excites and fuels ...me these days. Once I had that enforced break from the clinic, I knew it was time for me to make a significant shift in my life path, and commit myself to dedicate my time and focus to this work that is currently a truer expression of my purpose. Then I met Ben Arnold. Ben, like me, has a community acupuncture clinic. We studied with the same teachers and basically operate our clinics the same way. Ben and I resonate and he cares a lot for his patients at his clinic, Windsor Community Acupuncture, and this medicine. He's super motivated, inspired, and available to help more people and expand his community. Since opening his clinic in Windsor in 2013, Ben has given thousands of treatments. He holds a masters in science in traditional Chinese medicine and has been practicing acupuncture for over 10 years. It felt like we both found what we were looking for... so - This is our formal announcement that Community Acupuncture of Marin is changing ownership from Ronit Ashkenazi to Ben Arnold. You probably won't notice much of anything changing, and we want to assure you that we are working closely together to ensure that the clinic maintains its amazing reputation that has been built over almost 15 years. We want that to continue. Ben will start seeing patients on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting on the 19th. Karena will continue her regular schedule. Ben brings years of experience as an acupuncturist, business owner, and we wouldn't be choosing this if it wasn't going to serve you, our patients and our community. You have always been our valued patients and have trusted us with your health care needs, even now as we cope with a changing world. We are very thankful to you From Ben: My journey started long ago when I researched how to relieve chronic pain for my father. As I grew familiar with acupuncture, realizing what a powerful modality it was, I discovered just how much I'd like to do it myself. I fell in love. Since then, the journey has led me to community acupuncture where I feel empowered to help as many people as possible.
