I've teamed up with Dakota Acres, a local family farm that grows boutique heirloom pumpkins. With fall just around the corner, I'm holding a special portrait event at their pumpkin patch on Saturday, October 3rd. 12 years ago, I started doing school portraits for friends of ours that were in the same homeschool group. I would’ve never thought in a million years that the entire country would now be eligible for this portrait event :) Seriously though, I believe this year’s School Portrait Event will be more special than normal. It’s been such a tough year already and the news of campus closures this fall did not help any. I hope these school portraits will bring a little bit of joy for you guys this year. So... I decided to do a series of Flashback posts this summer. I dug through some old hard drives and re-edited some hidden gems to give them new life. Here’s the first one from way back in 2006. Chris & Leah were one of the crazy ones to trust me to shoot their wedding when I first started doing photography. I remember their engagement session like it was yesterday (that’s not saying much because I already forgot what I did over the weekend ). At that point, my wife and I... (with only one kid) had just moved to Fresno, I barely knew my way around town. As we drove up Blackstone, we spotted this cool door. It’s not there anymore, but does anyone know where it was? We ended up at Chuck E. Cheese (of all places) to cool off and play a little skee ball. To this day, this image remains as one of my all time favorites. Thanks for driving down memory lane with me and stay tuned for more flashbacks. See more

THIS WEEK ONLY! No one ever expected we would be here today, all the schools are closed and everyone is scrambling to figure out what to do during the next couple of weeks. But look at the bright side of things, Spring Break got extended and it came early! This week, I am going to give y'all extra incentive to get high school senior portraits checked off your list. I’ve been anticipating this wedding since last year winter when I trekked the snowy landscape of Shaver Lake with Megan and Greg for their engagement session. Over the weekend, my wife and I finally got to document their Lake Tahoe wedding at the beautiful Ritz Carlton. After a year of looking at weather forecasts, everyone finally took a deep breath and enjoyed one of the most beautiful wedding days I’ve ever experienced.
