The best time to start follow up on your church visitors is yesterday - right after the worship service. 90% of guests return when followed up within 2 hours after the service. But if you didn't, it's not too late. The next best time is today - Monday. Send them a text. Call them. Send an email. Make that effort to connect with them today.... #managemyflock #churchmanagement #masstexting #church #followup

WHAT IF YOUR CHURCH VISITORS BECOME FAMILY? Wouldn't that be nice? Wouldn't it be great if your weekend visitors feel at home at your church? I bet it would.... Here's a cool story. Alex's church used to average 5 new visitors every other week, but these numbers never reflected on the population of the church. As soon as worship closed, the visitors left, to never return. This always left Alex worried. One Monday he decided to adopt a new strategy. He called every person who visited the previous Sunday and spent an average of 30minutes with each, getting to know them, asking if they had questions on the sermon preached, and went ahead to pray with them briefly. At the end of the call, he expressed how joyed he was that they visited church and mentioned that he would looked forward to seeing them the following week. Later in the week, he texted them again. The next Sunday, all 6 visitors not only returned, but 4 came with friends of their own. And so did the growth of Alex's church take off. Wouldn't it be great if that was your story too? It could be. It will only take you to have a second look at your church's follow-up strategy. People are emotional creatures. In every gathering they want to feel loved, valued and important. Just like Alex, by simply calling less than 24 hours after the last service and reaching out later in the week, you create that impression in them and that leads to a longing to be part of your church. Of course, that is not all it takes to retain a visitor, but it could be the spark that causes the flames. This is just one of many ways you can spur growth in your church. Are there other methods you're using? Let us know in the comments
