After several months I finally got to see my son today. While everyone argues about whether Covid is real or the numbers are being skewed, one thing is certain; there are many people that aren’t allowed to see their loved ones during this time. This is extremely hard and all the mask shaming and conspiracy theories and death rates and political rants don’t really help those who are directly impacted by this pandemic. So please before your next blaming post please be empatheti...c towards the people who have been impacted and maybe just let people know I’m sorry for what you’re going through right now. My son Austin is in this group home. They take very good care of him thank God. Since Covid-19, the care providers that work there have been working around the clock. They often sacrifice time with their own families to care for the residents. Happy Birthday Austin!! Today my son turns 24... I miss him soooo much. Because of Covid I’m not allowed to even visit him. As most of you know he has Autism and Cerebral Palsy so I can’t really explain quarantines to him. I’m praying that he doesn’t feel abandoned during this time. We are best friends and I love him in the most pure and unconditional way a father could. It saddens me that I don’t know when things will return to normal. For now I take heart in knowing that God is watching over him and keeping him in perfect peace. I love you little buddy

Care free type day at my new favorite beach. It was nice to feel normal if only for a few precious hours. Love spending time with these special ladies and my dog Grayson too! Looking forward to making many more memories in the not too distant future...

It was so great to see Stanley yesterday!! We definitely missed each other. I had no food in my hands when I first came to see him, but he didn’t care. He just nestled his head next to mine and was sniffing me and giving me kisses. It literally went on like this for 10 minutes. My favorite moment by far with him in the 4 years I’ve been here. Took a break from remodeling last night. Can’t wait to move these lovely ladies in. We have so much fun together...
