This post is not an easy one to write, so I will get right down to it. We are going to be closing our doors. It has been an amazing experience since day one. We all learned so much, we met so many great people, and being a part of this great community was a privilege. We know many of you will be sad but remember this: this isn't the end of it. We are already planning our comeback. I don't know when, or where exactly that will be, but we will be back. The internet, by default..., is full of gossip and rumors, so let me go ahead and explain why we came to this decision. The rent in Vacaville for a restaurant is probably 50% more than most people think. In October we experienced the PSPS outages from PG&E. We lost our entire inventory and 2 days of sales. Losing over $12000 as a new business (with no way to recover it) was a big hit. California is not business friendly (no surprise there) taxes and permits and licensing can be overwhelming. Food costs are rising at a very steady rate, and there's no way around it. I started this business at 28 years old, with little money and a dream. No investors, no big loans, just hard work and determination to keep it going. It was hard to come to this decision, but at some point I had to call it. It has nothing to do with anything other than the reasons listed above. Those with gift cards, please email [email protected] and get in touch WE WILL BE OPEN WEDNESDAY MARCH 11TH STARTING AT 2PM. we have brisket, potato salad, and our bbq sauces at a discounted rate. Brisket will be sold by the pound, or whole brisket. Please write us and let us know if you are interested. Thank you everyone for your support, we have nothing but love for you all.

Starting tomorrow we have gumbo on the menu! 100% made from scratch, with rice (of course) and buttered french bread. $7.95 dine in only. Come get it because once we run out, we are out.

Happy Tuesday everyone! Feeling a little more like a Monday for us here at Mainstreet Smokehouse though. Due to a technical difficulty out of our control, we will have limited quantities of our brisket, tri tip, and pulled pork. As much as it pains us to say this, we will be OPEN for lunch and closed for dinner today. The issue will be fixed later today, and tomorrow will be business as usual. We apologise for any inconveniences or for dinner plans that may have to be postponed. We understand any frustration you may have and we hope everyone understands our own frustration with this situation.
