The beauty industry has been hit hard this year. Most salons and barber shops have been closed most of the year. Check on your stylist or barber and see what you can do to support them this holiday season. Stay safe and remember to support local! Featured in this video is The Court Barber Shop, Cache Salon and Platinum Salon in downtown Hanford. These videos were done before the stay at home order was in place and when salons and barber shops were allowed to be open. Video by REMSCAPE

Our number went up this week, which means we are still in Red, but we won’t be moving to orange next week. Keep getting tested, stay home if you’re sick, wash your hands frequently and keep them away from your face, and wear a face covering. We need to keep our businesses open.

We want our businesses and schools open. Please go out and get tested. The more testing we do in Kings County the better our scores are. When healthy people get tested, it drives our positivity rate down. So get tested and pre-register for a fast experience. This is a self-administered test that is done outdoors. It’s very safe and the tests are more accurate. Let’s keep Kings County open!

We are so happy to be getting closer to re-opening Kings County! Today we moved into the Red Tier. Our scores continue to improve because of the precautions that you are taking but also because our testing rates are high. We need to keep this up. We need people to keep getting tested. The more negative tests we have the lower our scores and the more businesses can re-open for indoor operations. If our number stay at this level for two weeks our schools can open. There is a free testing site every Monday at Kings County offices, 1400 W Lacey Blvd.

Kings County is officially in the Red Tier! Let’s stay diligent and continue to take safety precautions so we can get businesses open and get our kids back in school!
