They made it to Grandmas today!

Yesterday -on ‘Christmas Eve’ I had the privilege of holding my sister as she passed away with me and my daughter by her side at home. It was one of the most beautiful and peaceful experiences of my life. She not only was my older sister but like a mother and definitely my best friend! She gave me so much these last two months as I cared for her. She is the main reason I am who I am today! She was at all four of my children’s birth’s. She got the phone call of every heartbrea...k, celebration, family differences, accomplishments and just needed someone sometimes to just listen. She had incredible insight and intuition.. so on point that most times I was nervous to ask what she thought cause I knew she would be right! Lol! Not sure yet how to end my story of sharing life with her- except I hope I can do her proud as I carry out the rest of my days! As her little sister I hope I can honor her memory as she would want me to .. and act gracefully while reflecting our belief in God and the beauty and wonder that we call life. Miss you already so much Dora.. it’s our first day of not talking.. so I guess I will be writing you many letters now#sisterloveforever See more
