In February the country celebrates Black History Month, and Madera Unified wanted to highlight African Americans’ achievements and recognize their central role in U.S. history. On this President's day MUSD would like to honor Barack Obama who was the 44th president of the United States, and the first African American to serve in the office. On February 10, 2021, Desmond Middle School staff held an Honor Roll Drive-Through to celebrate students who have received academic honors during the second school quarter. The proud team of administration, counselors, teachers, safety officers, and support staff helped distribute the awards. MUSD would like to thank Agriland Farming Co and its employees for donating more than 480 turkey dinners to families in need at our school sites before the holiday break. Over the years, Agriland has given away over 10,000 turkey dinners! Thank you for your support and generosity.
