As promised we are all dug out and open for biz. However the snowmen have taken over the outdoor bar... If you do decide to venture out today please be careful - those roads are slick and quite often not plowed!

The weather outside may be frightful. And while we still can’t sit people indoors here in California our igloos are quiet delightful!!!

Thank you to everyone that braved the cold yesterday and celebrated Thanksgiving with us. Today is a much nicer day and we have our favorite part of Thanksgiving - Leftovers!!!

As many of you are undoubtably aware, South Lake Tahoe has been moved into the Purple Tier which means we can no longer have guests inside. Well, that’s not gonna stop us from having the best possible time we can. MacDuffs is very happy to introduce the brand new and now open Winter Deck and Cabanas for your dining and drinking pleasure. We are also still offering togos and will have an update with our Thanksgiving plans and menu tomorrow. Wishing you all health and happiness and hopefully we will see you soon!!!

Hi Everyone, Once again thank you all for your support, as always it means the world to us. We are extremely happy to be back open and thankfully have received no positive test results and everyone has been cleared to return to work. However, we did receive some bad news this week from our friends at the Boys and Girls Club of Tahoe. Their Brewfest, which accounts for 15% of their funding for the year, has been cancelled due to Covid-19.......Continue reading

Hello, Firstly, we would like to thank you all for your kind thoughts and words. These are certainly difficult times for all of us and your support means the world to the MacDuff’s Team. Everyone here is doing great, no one has had or currently has any symptoms, and we have received no positive test results. Chef’s family are all doing well, and he was actually cleared to return to work last week on Thursday, July 9th. However, despite this great news, we were unable to op...en any earlier because anyone who had been in contact with Chef for over 15 min while unmasked and closer than 6 feet was directed by the health department not to return to work for 14 days from that interaction regardless of testing outcome. With that being said, we are very pleased to announce that we will be reopening today, Friday, July 17th at 4:00pm for both togos and outdoor dining. We will be a little understaffed for the first few days while we await a few people to be cleared to return, so please bear with us. Masks are mandatory to enter and while moving around the property, but not once you are seated at your table. Additionally, we’d like to remind you that the weather here in Tahoe can be a little random this time of year so please dress accordingly as we aren’t allowed to seat people inside, even if it starts pouring rain and hail like yesterday. Also, it tends to get a little cooler here at night, especially if you have been out in the sun all day, so please keep that in mind when joining us for dinner, although we do have some great hoodies for sale Once again thank you all for your support and understanding. Hi Everyone, We hope that you are all doing as well as possible during these crazy and seemingly ever-changing times. This has certainly been the most difficult of our ten years here in Tahoe and we have strived to do our absolute best to meet each new challenge to the best of our ability and remain open for both our patrons and employees while abiding by all recommendations and guidance from the state and federal government for operating as safely as possible.... Unfortunately, despite all of our efforts, we have been informed by the health department that a member of our Chef's household has tested positive for Covid-19 and he has been asked to self-quarantine. Therefore, out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of our employees and customers, and the fact that we simply cannot maintain our food standards without our chef, we are going to be pausing operations until Friday, July 17th. We have strongly encouraged our staff to get tested and the vast majority have already scheduled their appointments, including our chef. Additionally, we will be conducting a deep clean of the premises in accordance with the guidance of environmental management. We hope to see you all again as soon we feel we have exceeded the standards for reopening safely. Stay safe and healthy, The MacDuff Team

We are back open from 11am - 8pm with a sparklingly clean kitchen thanks to our amazing crew. We also have just tapped a keg of Russian River’s Blind Pig IPA (you guys drank us out of Pliny). It’s that time of year again... the spring deep cleaning of the kitchen has begun. We will be closed today Monday May 4th and tomorrow Tuesday May 5th and will reopen at 11am on Wednesday May 6th. We apologize for any inconvenience - but we will try and come up with something special to make it up to you on Wednesday. Happy hump day everyone. At least that’s what we think we used to call Wednesday... is it even Wednesday? Well whatever day it is we decided to celebrate tapping a keg of delicious Sidellis Brewocracy IPA by offering 22oz togo drafts of Brewocracy and Clockwork White for only $4!!!
