Another Ferrari 575 sticky project completed! This one featured repairing a cracked AC control housing and lots of sticky parts. As always, our 575 refinishing jobs always feature our 575 graphic on the hood release rather than the stock @hasbro Tonka toy car. Its amazing that a car can even be driven when in this sticky state. And even the latest Ferraris from the last 5 years are still doing it. Amazing. Simply amazing. At least this Arizona customer will now be able t...o enjoy his 575 without washing (actually scrubbing!) his hands after a drive. The semi-rare Ferrari OEM all leather 458/F12/Lusso/etc LED wheel is actually a carbon wheel with leather glued over the top and bottom. Our latest project is to strip off the leather from the top and finish the carbon. We’re hoping the factory carbon will not need too much work! Plus, we have to hope Ferrari’s supplier didn’t use cosmetically flawed (rejects!) wheels for the leather version. ... We’ll see! For this F12 wheel we are also going to add a 12 o’clock stripe and do the center in carbon. We are going to leave the bottom as is because on the this wheel the leather is in perfect condition. Plus, the stitching goes right over joint so changing the bottom would require changing all the stitching and perhaps the grip leather as well. Lamborghini Diablo Roadster center console in carbon fiber. A call yesterday for Diablo door handles sent us digging into our photo library and we found this photo mis-filed under Murcielago. We took this pic of a customer’s Diablo console back in Monterey Car week of 2007. Our Diablo consoles are all full, molded carbon, including the brackets on the rear. We also cover all years formt he ’91 through the ’99. These days we would also have recommended a refinishing of the ...sticky ashtray as it kind of stands out. Times have certainly changed since back then! MAcarbon has probably forgotten more of the carbon parts we’ve done in these last 17 years than most carbon companies have even made. Ferrari F12 door handles and OEM center console on their way to Hong Kong! A F12 customer ordered door handles and asked us to track down an OEM center console for him as well. Luckily, Ferrari had one left worldwide and we were able to grab it. We’ve always done our best to make sure our parts look like they were ordered form the manufacturer rather than us, whether that be Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche etc. With this order we were able to directly see how close we get!
