Early Silver Streak. Oldest one I've ever seen. The slot for the lever is cut to the end of the forearm. It is a single port, soldered on rear sight base with nickeled finish. Somebody had lowered the front so I soldered a 1/16" piece of wire to raise it back up. I fit a C9 front plug to match the finish. Gun had seen some rough treatment but was still beautiful after clean up and steroid tune. Got front sight soldered as well as raised, new action fastener, lever link, valve... body, intake and exhaust Steroid style, adjustable piston etc. I thought I would share this with the Public since it has so much DNA on it after 74 years. I had to take the action to the buffer to bring it back to life. The memories a gun like this must have. One of the first Sheridan Silver Streaks ever manufactured. No model number Sheridan. The serial number is 101857 it has the rocker safety. Says made in Racine Wisconsin. We are Seeing much interest in the Sheridan guns since Crosman Pulled the plug on the Sheridan Brand. I think it was a mistake that can be rectified in short order. Houdini McMurray March 15th 2018 to Septemper 14th 2020. God knows why he went on a parts eating binge. We will never know what he endured. I do know he was extremely scared when I met him and extremely happy before the disaster. I will get another rescue. It is what makes me happy to make a difference even if is is a moment of bliss. He deserved a chance. It didn’t work out. God answers all prayers. Not always the answer we want. He is only our guide. Not our servant. The reason will become obvious soon. Ends become beginnings.
