Good morning! Here to invite you all to tonight’s exciting Fillmore City Council meeting! -GREAT NEWS! Tonight’s city council meeting will be the first to be interpreted for Spanish speakers. Interpreters will be present to to help interpret between Spanish and English language. Please let EVERYONE KNOW and please especially encourage Spanish speakers of or community to use this opportunity to share any concerns they may have about our community by showing up to tonight’s... meeting. -Lynn will also be speaking about the best way to improve the sidewalk along 126 for those residents living immediately on the hwy with NO sidewalk. Finally, there will not be another City Council meeting in July so the next scheduled meeting after tomorrow will be August 11.

La reunión del concilio de la ciudad de esta noche será la primera en ser interpretada para hablantes de español. Los intérpretes estarán presentes para ayudar a interpretar entre el idioma español e inglés. Hágales saber a TODOS y, especialmente, anime a los hispanohablantes o a la comunidad a aprovechar esta oportunidad para compartir cualquier inq...uietud que puedan tener sobre nuestra comunidad. -Lynn también hablará sobre la mejor manera de mejorar la banqueta a lo largo de 126 para aquellos residentes que viven inmediatamente en la carretera sin banqueta. Finalmente, no habrá otra reunión del Concilio en Julio, por lo que la próxima reunión programada después de mañana será el 11 de agosto.

#DestinationFillmore: Celebrating Our Nation’s Birthday Come and experience our Nation’s birthday with your family and friends at Fillmore’s Annual Fourth of J...uly Celebration Downtown Fillmore. This year the fun begins with a pancake breakfast hosted by the Future Farmers of America. The breakfast starts at 7:00am until 9:30am. The 33rd Annual Sespe Creek Car & Cycle Show will rev up its engines starting at 9:00am until 2:30pm. The popular car show will feature over 200 classic cars, hot rods, low riders, and cycles. A car enthusiast’s dream! Danny Torres and the Piru River Band and House Arrest will be the live band entertainment starting at 10:00am until 3:00pm. Bring your dancing shoes and rock the day with our great local bands. This year will also feature the 1st Annual Firecracker Corn Hole Tournament hosted by the Fillmore Fire Fighters Association. Fillmore Western Railway will offer train rides throughout the day and conclude with a 4th of July Dinner Train. Please check their website or social media pages for more information. Food and Beverages will also be on hand including a beer garden, food trucks, vendors, and of course our local restaurants ready to make this day a Fourth you will truly remember. And to end the day, stay and watch the Fireworks Display at 9:00pm. It’s a fun-filled day you will certainly remember for years to come.
