Lyles Tax 3 Up and running Business owners do you need help with your information returns 1099s and W2s According to the Internal Revenue Service, W-2 forms should be mailed out to employees by no later than January 31 for forms derived from the previous calendar year. While employees may not receive them in the mail on this date, they must -- at the very least -- be sent out at this point.

Up and running the IRS has acknowledged 5 out of 5 returns sent in from my office, for those with W2's and all other supporting documents the return is e-filed and thus acknowledged

WASHINGTON The Internal Revenue Service announced today that the nation’s tax season will begin Monday, Jan. 29, 2018 and reminded taxpayers claiming certain tax credits that refunds won’t be available before late February. The IRS will begin accepting tax returns on Jan. 29, with nearly 155 million individual tax returns expected to be filed in 2018. The nation’s tax deadline will be April 17 this year so taxpayers will have two additional days to file beyond April 15.

A notice to bring with you for tax preperation Identity Protection PIN Have you received a CP01A Notice IP PIN from the IRS ... An IP PIN helps the IRS verify a taxpayer’s identity and accept their electronic or paper tax return. When you have an IP PIN, it prevents someone else from filing a tax return with your SSN. If a return is e-filed with your SSN and an incorrect or missing IP PIN, the IRS system will reject it until you submit it with the correct IP PIN or you file on paper. If the same conditions occur on a paper filed return, the processing will be delayed and any refund you may be due for your protection while the IRS determines if it’s yours.

I woke up not feeling very well today it seems like I have a cold coming on, I take the necessary precautions drinking lots of fluids take a couple of aspirin and some cough drops just to get through this day. At Lyles Tax Service 3 we scan in all identification documents into the computer system. This will help prevent fraud and reduce the amount of paper our office uses. We also use signature pads to capture the taxpayers’ signature. Our goal this year is 98% electronic storage.
