Announcing our first show of 2021: Shaking Up Shakespeare! "Shaking Up Shakespeare is a 60-minute collage of scenes and short speeches from Shakespeare’s canon by some of his greatest and most popular characters! These vignettes, plucked out of the most famous plays ever written, are strewn together in a non-linear story telling approach linked by themes of every kind of love, betrayal, greed, forgiveness and retribution. This is ‘such stuff that dreams are made on’origina...l music and art abounds in this escapist piece, crafted and edited for film." Vanguard University’s Lyceum Theater has provided Christ-centered theatrical education for hundreds of young actors, singers, dancers, and production talent. Every season, our theater has produced excellence in the arts and this year is one unlike any other as our students are performing and producing from home. Join us for our one-of-a-kind show Life in Living Color the weekends of October 30-November 1, 5-8, and 12-15, from the comfort of your home. In an effort of safe...ty and comfort for our patrons and donors, we present this show with a ‘pay what you will’ ticket price. We invite you to join us for these performance weekends and ask that you please consider a generous donation to the Lyceum as we continue in distance. Of course, with the burdens of COVID-19, our theater is experiencing substantial financial loss, and your support will ensure that we can continue to educate, perform, provide scholarships, and pursue excellence in the arts beyond this current global state.
