Here are a few of MY reasons for ONLY performing Ombre Brow/Powdered Brow services. I was trained on Ombre Brow, Combo Brow, and Microblading, however, after performing Microblading on several clients, I decided that I would only offer Ombre Brow. With the microblading technique a hand tool is used to insert pigment into the outer layer of the skin. This gives the appearance of hair, so it is often referred to as a stroke. The problem that I continued to encounter was that... most of my clients are african american and at increased risk for scarring, oily skin, and due to hyperpigmentation, do not have the best healed result. Therefore, I decided to focus on Ombre Brow. As a nurse, I understand that putting slices in a client’s skin compromises skin integrity, even more than the Ombre Brow technique, leads to more scarring, pain, and an increased risk of infection for the client.
