Gorman, from Los Angeles, is the author and speaker of The Hill We Climb; the poem that you heard at yesterday’s inauguration. Her poem is set to be published in April and we can’t wait to have it in our store. Her book Change Sings will be released in September; and we have already pre-ordered it because she is so incredible! She is the first person to be named National Youth Poet Laureate. Her art and activism focuses on issues of oppression, feminism, race, and marginalization, as well as the African diaspora.
