I received an awful surprise when I pulled up to the cafe this morning. Somebody had smashed the side window to the cafe stole a beer sign and some crystals. The inside of the cafe is a mess with broken glass strewn everywhere. I'm not sure what else is missing, checking now. An upstairs neighbor heard the commotion, came downstairs and scared a 20-something kid away. The police showed up within a couple of minutes and checked the cafe before boarding up the window. There have been a recent rash of Smash and grabs overnight with local businesses during this pandemic. Stupid people causing hundreds if not thousands of dollars in damage for little or no return...
