Coaches get coached too! I was talking with a coach today about my need to get more sleep. I wondered, "Is there a way we can stop Netflix from automatically going to the next episode? I keep letting it play, 'One more episode.'" Turns out, there is! I unchecked this box!

People who are willing to get out of their comfort zone and try something new have a much better chance of finding their success.

Repeat after me: It’s all going to be all right!!! Now say that 3 times! You guys, seriously, it is! It’s ok you don’t have all the answers. It’s ok if you... thought you had the answers and then found out you were wrong. It’s ok if it feels uncomfortable and awkward. It’s also ok if it doesn’t go the way you thought it would. Here’s the reality; most of us never even imagined we would be doing this! Homeschooling was not something I considered before being deeply dissatisfied with having kids in the school system. This wasn’t plan A. So of course I’m gonna get a lot wrong before I get it right. Give yourself some grace. Take a deep breath. The greatest thing about being a beginner is that there is so much to learn! Accept the learning curve. What a wonderful opportunity! This gets to be as much a learning journey for us, as it is for our kids! See more

"Yet" is getting used more and more in our house. "I'm not good at this.... YET!" One family member is practicing different painting techniques. One is trying to figure out the brand new telescope. One is rebuilding old video games. One is trying to hang pictures straight to decorate the home. What have you been "yetting" lately?

Times are weird and we must adapt. This is our favorite restaurant that usually only has two outdoor tables. Now, they’ve converted their alley (pictured here) and back area to outdoor seating in order to still operate in COVID. Amazing food, Frank Sinatra playing, and sun setting. I felt like I was in Italy. I wish I could have spent all of my dinners here sitting in this alley! Who would have known this could be such a beautiful place?
