Mollys ultrasound didn't show anything that would cause any immediate problems and she looked "stable". Thats not to say there isn't always something going on i...n those kidneys, but nothing pressing. That is good news, but I kind of wish I could have had something that would explain the increase in the creatinine and something we could fix. Unfortunately, it looks as if Molly is progressing to the next stage in her disease. Her kidneys are failing. They are not at end stage...but they are approaching it. She is still producing urine and they do function, but not very well. She has teams at Mayo, UCSF and Kaiser who are all communicating together to come up with a new treatment plan for her. They will discuss what is the best course of action to help in her care as well as her quality of life during this process. Molly is scared but she knows she is supported and has people fighting for her. She also knows that whenever she is getting scared to look at Matthew and remember that he has overcome so much and is doing well. She will too. She is strong and brave and has already overcome so much. No matter what we face, we will do it as a family, a community. We will travel to Mayo next week then on to DC to be part of RARE week on Capitol Hill. We will be part of something that will help restore our fight and share our story. We will bring awareness and advocate for our disease and bring hope to our PH community. That won't ever change. It helps drive us to keep on fighting. There is no other option. We have been through some difficult times and I know we are going to face more down the road. There will be hard times and struggles. There will also be celebrations and wins. What we will not do is as why. There is no time for that. We know God is with us every step of the way. We know we have excellent doctors fighting for us. We know we have amazing friends and a community of supporters. We will navigate our new normal and we will always keep going strong together.

We don't have any updates after the Ultrasound. I am still waiting to hear from the doctors and plan the rest of our stay. We do know she is still struggling ...to drink her fluid. She just feels full all of the time. We need to keep her here to hydrate another night and depending on the ultrasound, we will come up with a plan. I will post an update later. See more

She likes butterflies and unicorns. -12 year old boy who wears large men’s clothing and shoe size 9. ... -15 year old boy who wears medium men’s clothing and shoe size 9 1/2 Father wears men size 2xl top and bottom Grandmother wears adult size 14 pant and large top. I would love to get the boys and dad a thick warm lined jacket or heavy sweatshirt. Both boys would love to have Nike or Puma brand hoodie (the never get name brand clothing). I want to get grandma a warm new coat and new shoes for all the kids. We are also collecting gift cards to grocery stores (Lucky, Safeway etc). Anything you can help with would be very appreciated.

My daughter can no longer have chocolate due to her condition so as show of support, I have given up chocolate. Any favorite caramel recipes? We make caramel from scratch and use it on ice cream and with apples. There is always cheesecake with caramel topping, but we are looking for new ways to eat caramel. Any suggestions?
