Gardeners and water enthusiasts, fill in the blank: "Get the hose and turn the ____ on". Answer below!
We were working on our first printed proposal in a while and came across this paper in our cabinet. It's probably 20 years old! Is it past its prime or do you think we should we still use it?
Lucy worked with over 50 water professionals in the late 90s/early 2000s to facilitate the formation of the Regional Water Authority. Over 20 years later, RWA manages significant programs benefiting the greater Sacramento region and the rest of the state. It's great to see their success and influence throughout California about highly important water policies and programs. Pass the word along about their open position for Manager of Strategic Affairs. http://ow.ly/z8EI50CSjg4
Does your high schooler want to get into a water-related field and get a scholarship to help pay tuition? There are less civil engineers and water resources professionals than a decade ago and we need more than ever! Check out these scholarships from ACWA: http://ow.ly/eXLE50COIe9
Best practices for posting video on social are ever changing. Did you know square videos take up 78% more real estate on mobile newsfeeds than landscape ones? Try a 1:1 ratio on your next post and see how that changes your engagement! #TipTuesday #realtalk
Over the years, we’ve helped San Joaquin County, California with water, wastewater and groundwater public outreach services. Their staff works hard to keep costs down and the systems running day in and day out to provide service to over 100 special districts. Although each one has its own infrastructure and rate structure, they know the details of each district and work hard to keep rates low. Thank you for all you do! #CAWaterWeek
The North State Water Alliance is a leading northern California Water partnership which advocates in California and Washington D.C. They obtain the funding and approvals needed to develop new water programs for natural and manmade infrastructure in the Sacramento Region and beyond. #CAWaterWeek We appreciate everyone who is a member of this coalition and enjoy our public relations work with you!
Our communications work with the City of Sacramento Department of Utilities over the years has been fascinating, important and varied. From water and wastewater rate increases to communications about a large combined sewer system program to overall Department branding and outreach. As our company’s water provider, there’s something special about helping our clients in our own backyard. Thank you to Sacramento’s water pros who provide 24/7 service! #CAWaterWeek
Our awesome client San Juan Water District has some of the oldest water rights in California. Here’s a throwback to some of the programs we helped them with during the recent drought. The most effective communication tool to explain the state’s mandatory cutbacks and provide conservation tips was a 2015 Tele-Town Hall that garnered participation by several thousand customers. As usual, their staff nailed it during a difficult time! #CAWaterWeek #drought
About two decades ago, Lucy facilitated a two-year process with 20 northern California water agencies to form the Regional Water Authority. Everything from the name, logo, dues structure, joint powers and board structure were all agreed to by consensus: a decision everyone supports, understands and is willing to execute. Today, RWA is a respected water organization throughout California, providing advocacy, funding and education expertise to their members. Thank you to all the water pros who work at this awesome organization. #CAWaterWeek #recycledwater #purifiedwater
Our fantastic client Placer County Water Agency is a progressive water agency with innovative leaders who provide water solutions not only for their own customers but for everyone throughout the state. Their recent awards for the fuels and forest management program they led with a public/private partnership is one of the most cutting edge in the western U.S. Thank you for all you do to help the Sacramento region and state find new waterand now wildfiresolutions. #CAWaterWeek #Wildfire
