Yes the Pink Lady’s are ready for picking. Great for Pies or eating right off the tree. We are open Saturdays and Sundays through to beginning of Nov. www.luckyyouorchards.com
Pink Ladies are the latest maturing apple that we grow. They are a perfect balance between sweet and tart making them a superb choice for you fall baking needs. We’ve made a lot apple pies in our time, hands down, Pink Lady pies win every time. These beauties are just maturing and will carry us through the rest of the season. Last day is November 1st. Bring your helpers and apple connoisseurs.
Your eyes are not deceiving you. We have pumpkins! The patch opens tomorrow. Reservations via website, see you soon!
Have you ever tried tie-dying apples? These fruits are pretty psychedelic to us We think these guys are pretty enough to display but this strange look also serves a purpose. These apples have been spritz with an iodine solution to determine how much starch remains. In the maturing process starch converts to sugar. The starch can be seen in the darker color. ... We will be picking these apples in a couple of weeks but have some perfectly ripe Fuji ready for you this weekend (example top right corner) and next. Reservations encouraged and available in profile.
Getting ready for this weekend? Wondering if there is a right way to pick an apple? There sure is! We avoid plucking the fruit from the tree as other apples will fall on the ground when the tree shakes. ... Farmer Steve & Alex recommend grasping the branch just above the apple while twisting the apple in a upward motion. This will bring the bottom of the apple up towards the top of the tree. This motion separates the apple from its tree with ease while keeping all other fruit off the ground Happy picking! Need a reservation? Book now via our profile #applepicking #luckyyourorchards
