Announcement: As the owner and operator of Luckey Dog Pet Services I want you to know that first and foremost the safety of our clients and their owners (and our own) is our No. 1 concern! ... That being said, after careful consideration and homework I have decided to continue to walk or clients during this time. After all, it is better to have one person out rather than 20-40 individual dog owners out walking. According to the AKC it is still believed that our dogs can not carry and transmit this virus, but they can transfer it (see link below). If that happens you will be required to separate from your pups and WE DON'T WANT THAT! https://www.akc.org///can-i-walk-my-dog-during-a-pandemic/ It looks like we're in for a stretch so during this time I would encourage you all to use the buddy system when booking walks (neighbors should book their walks together). This will not only save you money and mean less exposure but also gives us all a chance to show community support and togetherness. (It has been determined that walking dogs in groups does not put anyone at any higher risk). This community means a lot to me and I want to do my part to help whenever, wherever I can. During this tough time I am also offering walks, free of charge, to elderly and/or disabled people. If you use the buddy system and have a walk/s scheduled, please pass on the info to anyone in your neighborhood who could use this free services during the COVID-19 stay-at-home order. Please pass this on by sharing and/or tagging anyone you know in the Ventura area and let's all do out part to keep VENTURA SAFE!!!!
