Tad and Dianne Taube have made a generous $2 million gift to establish the Taube Professorship in Global Health and Infectious Diseases at Stanford University School of Medicine. It was matched with an additional $2 million from Andi Okamura and Jeff Chambers, chair of the Board of Directors for Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford. The first holder of this prestigious endowed professorship is pediatrician Yvonne Bonnie Maldonado, MD, one of the world’s top experts in infectious diseases. Please join us in thanking the Taubes for this incredible gift! #globalhealth #infectiousdisease

I am so beyond blessed to have True in my life. He teaches me every day that life is a gift. Today we are at @stanfordchildrens to see his team. He is being considered for another open-heart surgery and then decide what is next as far as transplant. Yes, he gets his way when we are here, chips make everything better. Lol We love our hospital, every single staff member just loves and adores True. It’s our second home. Xoxo -Jodi, True’s mom Make the holidays brighter for kids like True with a gift today. Just by recognizing PANS as a disease and having a basic understanding of the symptoms and causes, we can at least let children and their families know they’re being supported while they wait for a cure. Other people are rooting for them! - Tara Dollinger @taradollinger Please join us in thanking Tara and Dave Dollinger for their generous gift of $2.4M to support research for pediatric acute-onset neuropsychiatric syndrome (PANS), a widely misdiagnosed and unknown disease.... When a child close to them showed a sudden, dramatic, and seemingly inexplicable behavior change, the family struggled for 10 years to find answers. Finally, the Dollingers’ loved one arrived at Stanford University and met Dr. Frankovich, a pioneer in PANS research and co-founder of the Immune Behavioral Health Clinic at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford, the first clinic of its kind in the country. The couple hopes that this transformative gift will lead to faster diagnosis and treatment for more families. THANK YOU to the Tara and Dave Dollinger Foundation! #linkinbio #PANS #panspandasawareness #pansresearch #panspandas See more

‘Tis the season for giving back--just ask 8-year-old Stella! For the past three years, Stella has been a Champion for Children by joining our Holiday Toy Drive. Last year, she brought in 8 wagons-full of toys to bring smiles and joy to our patients and their siblings! This year is a little different though. With COVID-19 restrictions, we're not able to collect toys in-person, but our patients need your help now more than ever. Our solution? Join Champions like Stella in our Virtual Toy Drive! Your donations will allow the Child Life and Creative Arts team to provide safe gifts for every child spending the holiday season in the hospital. bit.ly/VirtualToyDrive2020 #toydrive #virtualtoydrive #championsforchildren #stanfordchildrens #kidsgiveback #fundraiser #holidaytoys #holidaytoydrive #familyfun
