PEPPERDINE PRESIDENT Jim Gash REVOKES LOWREVIEW PRESS CREDENTIALS According to the Wall Street Journal, The Lowreview has worked on the Malibu campus since 2001 and has had its credentials renewed every year since then. The process normally takes a matter of days. Reuters and CNN report the issue over The Lowreview's press credentials stems from a Lowreview report from October, 2001 wherein the Lowreview ran a story about then Law School Dean Richardson Lynn re-enacting the F...irst thanksgiving. The original article is available here: http://lowreview.com/PDF/LowReviewVI5.pdf According to Pepperdineian traditions, visual depictions of a Dean or University President is not allowed. "We have to warn The Lowreview that what they are doing is stupid and they will probably wind up in big trouble if they do not change their ways," said the University's Eighth President Jim Gash as he de-planed "Wave Force One". "I did enjoy The Lowreview while I was a lowly first year professor, however, I have since identified the folly of my ways and seek forgiveness by shutting down this loathsome organization." Lowreview editors are stunned, pointing out pictures of President Gash in his gilded golf cart, Wave Force One plane and using freshmen to crowd surf.

Jim Gash, who will assume the role as the 8th president of Pepperdine University has signaled his intention to purchase a private aircraft for his use as the university’s administrator. Gash, who has long been interested in civil aircraft matters, has identified a vintage aircraft which is scheduled to be purchased and painted in the school’s trademark blue and orange livery According to a statement released by the Office of the President, the 1950’s era DC-7C aircraft, which... has already colloquially been dubbed Wave Force One, has officially been named The Bell. The statement went on to describe the aircraft as key to communicating both the university’s continuing commitment to the future, as well as Gash’s personal pedagogical passion. The aircraft is expected to be heavily used in Gash’s upcoming national speaking tour, entitled, Why are we here?, which will highlight the existential search for meaning inherent in higher education. It is an essential question we have to ask, Gash noted in the press release, And The Bell will help us get there.
