Im workin y’all!!! This is my journey. Still trying hard to improve my back bend and mobility in my spine, shoulders an hips. This is something I always wanted to do but vanity and lifting heavy weights was always more of a priority. Why? Well because it was easy to be consistent when I lived in a gyn. But now I barely get into the gym. So I am refocusing my journey into more body weight goals to create better consistency for myself. Getting in the gym is just not as easy a...s it use to be and I am finding challenging my body with #calisthenics #capoeira and #bodyweight movements to be much more satisfying. Capoeira demands alot of mobility out of your entire body. Which is why I chose it to be my next mountain to climb. It is challenging as fuck. Mentally it is defeating because everything is hard and physically it is unforgiving. Do one thing wrong an your body hurts for weeks. I love it tho. The history of this movement practice goes all the way back to Africa and was adapted by slaves because they could mask it as a dance. Nowadays I think it is the solution to the majority of overuse injuries we get from traditional weight lifting and fitness practices! Try it if you dare!!
