My trimming technique is key to how my brows lay. I don’t do buzz cut trimming and brush up and cut. I don’t like that chopped look at the brow line that technique creates. It removes all the life and movement of the brow. If you follow me you know I don’t do the tightly trimmed brow thing. I like to keep length. But sometimes brows need to be thinned a bit...I need to release some of the bulk while not cutting off length. My trimming technique is self taught. When applying highlighter it’s all about crisping up the edge and creating definition along the brow line. You want the line tight and clean but you also need to BLEND! You should not be able to see a pencil line. You need to blend blend blend to keep it natural! But is this not mesmerizing to watch!

One of the easiest ways to achieve a defined brow is with a tinted brow gel. Just comb through the brow and sweep and comb to evenly and lightly coat. . . An optional step for added definition is to use a highlighter/concealer. Most Brow highlighters will come in different shades. A more flesh toned color will give the the most natural effect by simply creating a defined brow line. Using a color that is lighter (as in this video) will add a more highlighted effect and not only add definition but will also create more contrast between the skin within the Brow and the skin outside the brow that has the added highlighter....making the brow actually look fuller. All this without using any actual fill in product. Voila!

NO TRIMMING NECESSARY. . . When brows are sitting in the right spot and you maintain their NATURAL fullness brows rarely need a trim. I know some people see length and automatically cut. I do not tightly trim my brows because I like them to be able to fall naturally in place. .... . As you can see here, I’m brushing the hairs and they are falling naturally into place. This allows brows to maintain their density. It also allows brows to have full natural lines. Trimming too much can lead to gaps and unnecessary sparseness. Notice how these brows have natural fullness and no gaps? . . IT’S OK FOR BROWS TO HAVE LENGTH AMD MOVEMENT. In fact, that is ideal. These brows are totally natural. So loving this transformation! I can’t believe how far we have come! . . I’m a brow purist. I love the natural flow of the brow and the natural placement of the brow hairs. .... . Brow growth patterns are the life of the brow. . . I’m not a fan of the picket fence look of brow lamination I’m seeing a lot of floating around IG. Honestly, I’m still not quite sure what I think about it, just that I think it takes away from everything I find beautiful about brows. Like I said, I’m a purist. I know the idea is to get brow hairs to sit right and to get brows to behave. But I find that when brows are designed properly...when you take the placement of the brow into consideration with your designs, well behaved brows happen naturally. . . Look at the before and after of this brow. The before brow can definitely be looked at as a brow needing some help. The hairs are laying all wrong and brow is just not flowing. The after is the brow after coming to me for a while. I completely adjusted and moved her brow setting it in the right spot and now her brow sits perfectly and her natural brow growth patterns can shine and sit naturally in the full beauty nature intended. Oh how o love my teen brows! Truly my favorite to do. Because they haven’t messed with them or gone anywhere where they made them too thin and ruined the integrity of the brow I’m able to keep the natural full and fluff. No trimming necessary. Just natural goodness.
