In hopes of keeping my tiny emporium afloat, I’m making it known a bit more publicly. I’ve had the good fortune of steady foot traffic since I opened, but like many things, uncertainty begets change. I'm planning the eventual reopening of the Contraption Emporium. What would you think if you saw this sign on the door of a shop you're visiting?

Folks have been after me for years to post my hours for the Emporium, and each time I have, something has changed, forcing me to disobey them. I’ve finally found a way to maintain a consistent schedule, and have been able to stick with it for over a month. Doesn’t bring the joy and sense of accomplishment I thought it would. NOTE: The Emporium WILL reopen this summer, for all your things-made-by-David-Lovejoy needs. If you need a thing-made-by-David-Lovejoy sooner, call 213.392.2611 and we’ll figure it out. I’m still a thingmaker, I’m just not a shopkeeper at the moment.
