While MAGAs will recite incantation chants to justify any one aspect, the overall arc of it all is never HAMMERED on by our leaders on the Union side of this civil war. One fellow was doing it... Al Franken, and 5th columnists inside our movement made sure that paladin was removed from the chessboard. Restoring our network of alliances will not only help neutralize the bona fide war being waged against the liberal enlightenment... it also makes clear what - despite all their blowhard, flag pumping posings - were raving in support of. Every enemy of freedom. Paul: What the right wing extremists seem not to understand is, the battle flag of the Confederate Army is the flag of traitors. My ancestors fought against them, one even died in Andersonville. My father fought in WWII against fascism. Yet these people, screaming for liberty, are the antithesis of freedom. They only want freedom for themselves or those that believe as they do. It would be amazing if we could educate those people to the reality of our past, but they prefer the ignorance taught by their forebears. They prefer to wallow in their false belief that white makes right, but fail to see the contributions made by people of color. They forget they are the descendants of immigrants, and are aiming their bigotry at some of the very people that they are distant relatives of. How do we change the paradigm, so everyone understands that ALL people have the same right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?
