Meet Allie!!!! Alexandria Allie Skow, PA-C Allie Skow, PA-C, brings enthusiasm and joy to our practice. After experiencing her own orthopedic injuries as an adolescent, she not only brings passion to orthopedics, but great sympathy towards our patients. She also believes that each patient should be treated individually and with a holistic approach. ... Allie is a graduate of Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI for both her Bachelor’s degree and Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS). She received her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences and attended PA school through an accelerated program allowing it to overlap with her undergraduate years. Since joining LAOI, she first assists in surgeries as well as manages patients in both a hospital and clinic setting. Allie is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and Physician Assistants in Orthopaedic Surgery (PAOS). You can find her treating patients in either of our clinics or assisting our surgeons in the operating room!!! Say hello below & show her some love!!

We have just performed another successful ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction of the elbow called the Tommy John surgery. We are the team physicians for Cal State Northridge (CSUN) and operate on all their scholarship athletes. Got bad knees??? You can still maintain a healthy work out regimen! Says Dr. Jonathan Botts, Orthopedic surgeon. You should definitely avoid running on hard pavement, & avoid doing exercise involving DEEP lunges/squats as this is definitely hard on your knees. The best exercises include cycling, swimming & building quadricep & gluteus strength. Which is key to maintaining healthy knees, while exercising.... With the warm weather approaching, it’s the perfect time to enjoy Southern California’s beautiful landscapes after all the rain we’ve had! Enjoy a bike ride or a swim & tag us in your pictures!
