Each year the Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) California recognizes and honors law enforcement officers for their effort to stop the crime of driving under the influence. This year, Officers Craig Cdebaca, Aston Chan, Eulises Guzman, Victor Haro, Scott Hoang, Ernesto Mora, and Pedro Torres were recognized and awarded the 23152 pin for their efforts in combatting impaired driving on the roadways. Last week, Officer Weathersbee, a member of the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT), encountered an individual experiencing homelessness walking barefoot on the sidewalk. Officer Weathersbee returned to work the next day with new footwear for the individual. The individual gladly accepted the act of kindness and was very thankful for Officer Weathersbee’s generosity.
