This AVA has roots that start back in 1855 when George Allen planted the first Cabernet Sauvignon vines in the region. We have taken 4 different wines, all from our Tin Cross Vineyard located in Sonoma, blended them together to make what we think of as an excellent Bordeaux-styl...e wine. Our Blend 122 is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, which has flavors of dark, beautiful, blue and black fruit and anise spice that carries into a leathery smokiness that comes through on the finish.
